Videos can make a compelling addition to your website or presentation. But they require thought, and the necessary equipment to create a professional look. I have made many videos over the past 20 years, most often from pre-production right through to the edit. I work primarily on documentary videos telling stories of people and groups on the South Shore. I've also had the opportunity to work with some wonderful nonprofit groups to help tell their stories, too. Below are just a few examples of my work. ABOVE THE CLOUDS: calling all pilots
Above the Clouds is a nonprofit organization based out of Norwood Airport. With the help of an army of volunteer pilots they provide free flights over the Greater Boston area to disadvantaged kids as well as kids with terminal illnesses. This video was made to be shown to pilots at a large conference in Miami with hopes that it might attract even more pilots to the program.
VIolet riot at bradley
The Trustees of Reservations recently engaged in a unique partnership with Proven Winners to create a formal garden at The Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate in Canton. I was commissioned to create a video featuring "planting day" which involved an army of volunteers planting more than 2000 plants across the property.
ann antonellis: Trustees Volunteer of the year
Telling the story of a volunteer for an organization can be tricky. Not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera. I always find it's best to make sure folks are in an environment where they feel most comfortable. In Ann's case her happy place was at Weir River Farm in Hingham where she volunteers. Her genuine love for the place, and for her role as volunteer really comes across in the video.
cheer! a day in the life of the marshfield high school cheerleading team
The most important part of making a documentary of any kind is access. Getting unfettered access to your subject allows for the complete story to be told. The coaches and members of the Marshfield High School Cheerleading team were incredibly generous with their time and, by the end of the project pretty much ignored my cameras, and me!
